Born Pretty Store Haul

I recently placed an order with The Born Pretty Store.  This is an online store that sells random beauty products for a low price.  They are based in China so when ordering from the states it takes a little bit to get here.  I place my order on on July 22nd and got it in the mail on August 9th, so it took about 2 weeks to get from China to Houston.  Not bad, in actuality its pretty decent I'd say pretty fast.  I have had Ebay orders take 3 weeks or more at times: I was actually very pleased with the shipping time.
I ordered 6 items and spent a total of $15.41 with free shipping.
The first Item I got was the 3pc double sided nail stamper.  It comes with a double sided nail stamper an two scrapers.  The white size it quite large, a bit bigger than a quarter I would say and very soft/squishy and the smaller red side is about the size of a dime and feels like your regular Konad stamper. This was $4.46
I also ordered 3 nail plates I haven't tried them out yet when I do I'll do a review on them and post pictures.  These I am excited to try.  I got plate #B04, it has a couple random floral motifs, a butterfly and the image that I love the most--flying dandelions.  This plate was $1.99
Then there's plate M77 it has again some floral motifs, a cute bow and some feathers...Super Cute I can't wait to try the feathers I see a peacock inspired nail in my near future. This plate was $2.99.
The last plate is QA81.  This one has 3 full nail size houndstooth designs, floral motifs, what looks to be a dragonfly maybe and a beautiful scroll-filigree design. This plate was $2.99 also.
I added a 99 cent grab bag to my order.  It contained some nail stickers, some water decals and some pink acrylic powder.   I gave the nail stickers to my niece, she's 12 and loves things like that.  The water decals are cute lace hearts and ovals that could be frames for a small nail design.  I have super weak nails so I don't know if I'll use the acrylic or not.  Anyway here's a few pics of those things.

The nail stickers are a gold chrome color and have a Ferrari theme. My nieces nails are pretty short; Hey she's a preteen she doesn't have time to worry abut her nails! :) Anyway she LOVED them.  I have yet to try out the decals but they look cute.

The last thing I ordered was a silicone stamping template but they sent me the wrong one and I had to e-mail them about it.  The one I got was for the french tips and I don't really have a free edge to use them on.  This was $3.99. When I get the right one I'll let you know if I like it.  Well that was all I ordered.

Thanks for reading!

Pink Hair

My newest obsession has been pink hair color.  Now I know a lot of people say the word "dye" when they talk about color but the professional word is "color". FYI it's a pet peeve of mine when someone says "I want to dye my hair".  OMG that drives me BONKERS! OK rant over.  Anyway so as I was saying I am OBSESSED with pink hair!  I have used many colors and tried many ways to achieve what I want.  My favorite one that I have used is Jerome Russell Punky Colors in "Flamingo Pink".  This color is not for the faint of heart.  When you think about flamingos you think a soft pretty pastel pink...WRONG!!!  This color is BRIGHT!! I sported this color for about 6 months.

So then a friend of mine gave me some Special Effects Deep Purple and I added it to the ends of my hair for a fun pink to purple ombre effect.  I LOVED this look and wore it for about 3 months.
Ok so now I'm tired of the super bright and decided to soften it up a bit.  I did a light bleach wash (mix shampoo with your bleach) to lift out the magenta so the lighter color would work. For my current look I used N'Rage Bubblegum Pink.  It turns out almost NEON when first applied but after a few washings it's a soft, beautiful, cotton candy pink.  Here it is after I rinsed but before I actually washed it.  I am ABSOLUTELY  TOTALLY COMPLETELY over the moon in love with it.

I mixed a teensy amount of Flamingo Pink in this application but this is what it looks like after about a week and a half.

I wash my hair about every other day so I usually have to do my hair around every two weeks.

Ok so this is the story of my obsession with pink hair I hope you like it.  Feel free to ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

New Hair for my Brother

Today marked a new event in my life.  My brother decided he wanted a haircut.  Now, He has had long hair for about 10 years, right after high school he decided to grow it out.
He went from hair past his shoulders....

To a nice short semi- business type cut.

I don't know how long he will leave  it like this, to me is an improvement.  I believe he looks older and more polished with shorter hair, more serious if you catch my drift.
Ok well thanks for looking ,  Tiffany
